We believe in a continual improvement process, constantly reflecting on researchers workflows, identifying suboptimal processes, problems and future needs.
Once identified, we have been continuously making incremental steps in redesign and development of our computing infrastructure, both software and hardware-wise. Our HPC (High Performance Computing) systems can currently accommodate processing and storing over 60 terabytes of data.
Members
Bioinfo group is headed by prof. Kristian Vlahoviček. The group consists of postdoctoral researchers and PhD students and one system admin.
Current postdoctoral researchers are Rosa Karlić, Vedran Lucić and Masa Roller. Maja Fabijanić is a PhD student and Petar Jager is Linux systems administrator. The group is always in search for new researchers and science enthusiasts.
Publications
Bioinfo group is involved in wide area of research and many of the group's projects have been published in high impact journals, including Nature and Cell.
Our group has published a multitude of research papers in the areas of evolutionary genomics, computational genomics, epigenomics and metagenomics. We also developed several web servers, published in high quality journals. For a complete list of publications click below.
